Their Challenge

In early 2019, Dr. Vuu started getting national recognition with show’s like Access Hollywood & Extra where he would go on and do light hearted wellness segments. He wanted to continue on that path and become somewhat of a celebrity wellness expert. Once the pandemic hit, the light hearted/fun wellness segments became few and far between.

A key message that our team prioritized was the uniqueness and novelty of Dr. Vuu’s expertise in longevity. It was a topic we could build out into many media sectors, including wellness, beauty, trending news, men’s health, and more. DPM saw this as a promising chance to gain attention from large outlets with expansive reach.

Positioning Dr. Vuu as an expert in work/life balance

While our team mainly prioritized pitching top-tier online and TV health & wellness outlets for feature stories on Dr. Vuu, we simultaneously positioned him as a top expert in the work/life balance conversation. This allowed us to cast a wider net into more business-focused outlets that were, at the time, covering work-from-home topics.

Our Results

Despite the challenges presented above, Dunn Pellier Media was successful in several ways. We secured coverage at top online outlets that included Dr. Vuu as an expert source, including PopSugar, Oprah Daily, and Yahoo Life. Another highlight of this campaign was DPM securing two national TV segments with CBS News and Daily Mail TV. Lastly, the team succeeded in garnering several regional TV segments in top markets, such as FOX 11, AZ Family, Good Morning AZ, and Good Morning Colorado.
