Their Challenge
Since REHIT is still relatively unknown, there’s a significant need to educate people about this unique form of exercise that CAROL Bike offers. While there’s solid scientific backing for REHIT, it’s not widely recognized yet. Additionally, CAROL Bikes are not commonly found in mainstream gyms, and are only available in select locations, requiring most people to purchase and have them delivered to their home. The cost can also be a barrier for many potential users.

Our Challenge
With most consumers and the media unfamiliar with the brand and the science behind the bike, DPM was faced with first building credibility for the CAROL Bike and educating consumers and media alike on its technology. The high-end cost of the bike also proved to be a barrier for many budget-conscious consumers. Additionally, the indoor cycling market was already dominated by leading household brand Peloton. CAROL Bike had also not upgraded its technology or program features in several years, further challenging the DPM team with creating “news” for the brand.
Build awareness and education around the CAROL Bike and the benefits of REHIT (Reduced Exertion High-intensity Interval Training)
DPM set out to do the following:
- Build mass consumer awareness of the CAROL Bike by educating the public about the brand’s groundbreaking science while communicating its health benefits and innovative tech features.
- Build brand credibility by facilitating access via user trails to the CAROL Bike for consumer reporters and journalists to experience the product firsthand.
- Leverage powerful testimonials from real life customers and high profile influencers to establish social proof, amplify the brand’s messaging, and inspire potential customers and media to consider the CAROL Bike.

Additionally, DPM secured feature editorial opportunities, TV and podcast interviews for CAROL Bike’s CEO Ulrich Dempfle to better communicate the brand’s origins and mission, while also increasing media opportunities and coverage for the brand.
